Chillicothe's Citywide Yard Sale begins June 1st. Residents throughout the city will be hosting sales throughout the weekend. The city waives the need for a permit during the sale, which runs through Sunday.
The event gives residents the chance to unload some items and make a little bit of cash ahead the city's 5-week Large Item Pickup Service which begins June 4th and runs through July 6th. Collection corresponds to a neighborhood's trash collection schedule.
If your garbage is collected on:
- Monday: large items will be picked up June 4-8;
- Tuesday: large items will be picked up June 11-15;
- Wednesday: large items will be picked up June 18-22;
- Thursday: large items will be picked up June 25-29;
- Friday: large items will be picked up July 2-6.
Items to be collected include large furniture, mattresses, old carpet; however, items that will not be picked up include appliances and electronics.
