For many years, the FBI Training Academy in Quantico, Virginia has been training more than just FBI agents, which has benefited local law enforcement.
Major John Long of the Ross County Sheriff's Office attended 10 weeks of training there. He says the networking he developed with other agents and law enforcement alone, was a tremendous asset for local crime fighting efforts.
The FBI offers free training for local law enforcement, but the locals have to pay to get themselves there.
