A 70-year-old Chillicothe man was flown to a Columbus hospital on Thursday following a two-vehicle crash involving an ATV on Mt. Tabor Road in Ross County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Gary Jenks was flown by Med-Flight to Grant Medical Center after he failed to yield the right-of-way and was struck by another motorist as he was pulling out of a private drive on a Honda ATV. The Patrol says Jenks suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The accident took place around 1:15 p.m. on Mt. Tabor Road near the area of Skiver Road. The driver of the vehicle that collided with Jenks, Miranda James, 27, of Chillicothe, was uninjured.
Huntington Township Fire and EMS assisted at the scene. The Patrol is reminding the public to keep ATVs off the roadway.
