The 24th annual Cookie Ride to benefit the Paint Creek Recreational Trail will take place on Friday, August 19th. The trail is a 34 mile paved recreational trail connecting Chillicothe, Frankfort and Washington Court House.
The annual Cookie Ride is a non-competitive bicycle tour that takes riders on a journey through Ross, Fayette and Highland Counties. There are rides that range from as few as 3 miles to as many as 50 miles. Whichever riders to chose take, there will be homemade cookies served along the way.
Cookie Rides begin from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Brad Lightle Memorial Park in Frankfort. 100% of the proceeds of this event are utilized to improve the trail. Last year funds from this event helped with costs of improving bridges, sealing trail pavement to extend life and install new signs for trail users.
