(24/7 News) -- A public hearing by the Washington Township Trustees in Pickaway County is being scheduled for later this week as residents voice their concerns over a proposed slaughterhouse.
Township officials say 25 acres of land off State Route 22 East was purchased months ago to be the location of a goat slaughterhouse. Owners of the proposed business say the meat would be slaughtered and processed in Pickaway County before being shipped to Columbus.
Trustees have called a public hearing regarding the proposal to be held on Wednesday.
