(Ross County Humane Society) -- The second Annual "Bark in the Park" event will be held Saturday, September 1st, 2018, and features a car and bike show as well as a new block party held in Downtown Chillicothe.
*There will NOT be fireworks this year; last year's news release was mistakenly released earlier.*
The Humane Society would like the invite the community to the fundraising event to be held in Yoctangee Park and on Water Street in Downtown Chillicothe.
This year the event welcomes back the Ecstacy Customz Car and Bike show. In addition to 96 Top Awards for the best cars and bikes, there will also be games, giveaways, a live auction, 50/50 raffle and more, with all benefits going directly to the Ross County Humane Society.
Registration for the car and bike show begin at 9 a.m. and awards will be announced starting at 3 p.m.
A new addition to this year’s event is the Water Street Block Party sponsored by Petland Charities. Immediately after the car show, join us on Water Street for a day of music and fun including at cornhole tournament ($10 team registration accepted until noon the day of the event.)
The featured entertainment lineup includes Booizm Entertainment starting at noon, followed by Thump Daddy taking the stage at 5 p.m., and Shotgun Taxi providing the evening show at 7 p.m.
Entry to the event is free and all ages are welcome! Food, drink, and beer from Classic Brands will be available for purchase. The shelter will also have exclusive Bark in the Park t-shirts available. All proceeds from this event go directly to the Ross County Humane Society.
