A Chillicothe teen is in "critical condition" at OSU Wexner Medical Center following a Sunday afternoon traffic accident where his vehicle overturned and burst into flames.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported the single vehicle injury car crash at approximately 3:44pm when 17-year-old Johnathon Hutson lost control of his car while traveling southwest on Chester Hill Road, near Blain Highway in Ross County.
The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, over-corrected, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle then overturned and landed on its right side before catching fire.
Hutson was pulled from the vehicle to safety and later transported to Adena Regional Medical Center by Huntington Township EMS. He was then flown to OSU Wexner Medical Center in "critical condition".
