The Huntington Huntsmen showed they are the real deal Tuesday, beating defending SVC Champ Unioto in a five-set thriller (17-25, 25-23, 25-22, 19-25, 15-12). The win keeps the Huntsmen unbeaten on the season at (6-0) and more importantly, (3-0) in the SVC. The loss is the first of the year for Unioto and their first SVC loss since the 2016 season.
Elsewhere, Southeastern also remains unbeaten at (3-0/6-0) with a 3-1 (24-26, 25-16, 25-16, 25-14) win at Zane Trace. The Panthers Jess Bolte had a big night with 24 kills.
Adena and Westfall both pick up sweeps, with the Warriors winning for the second time this season, (25-12, 25-16, 25-14) over Piketon. The Mustangs grabbed their first win in a (25-21, 25-18, 25-20) sweep over Paint Valley.
