The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle injury car crash in Scioto Township of Ross County.
At about 5:17pm, a car driven by 35-year-old Megan Gibson of Chillicothe was traveling northwest on US Route 35, when she traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a raised crossover and overturned multiple times.
Gibson was not wearing her safety belt at the time of the crash. A 4-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the car, was properly restrained in the vehicle. Both occupants were transported by EMS to Adena Regional Medical Center.
Gibson was later flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio for her injuries. The juvenile was flown to Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio for his injuries.
Impairment is suspected to be a factor of the crash, according to patrol troopers.
