Third Wagner Family Member Pleads Not Guilty to Aggravated Murder Charges

A woman accused in the murders of eight people in Pike County appeared in a Pike County courtroom on Thursday.

It took 48 minutes for Judge Randy Deering to read aloud all 22 counts, including eight counts of aggravated murder, against 47-year-old Angela Wagner.

Wagner, her husband and two sons are accused of various roles in gunning down eight members of the Rhoden family two and a half years ago. The Ohio Attorney General says a custody dispute may have played a role in their conspiracy to commit murder.

Wagner waived her right to a speedy trial and was ordered held without bond after entering a not guilty plea.

Wagner's sons pleaded not guilty to the same charges earlier this week. Her husband, George "Billy" Wagner III, is set to make a court appearance on Tuesday.

There are now gag orders in place for legal professionals involved in the cases. A pretrial hearing is set for January seventh.
