The Hocking County Sheriff's Department needs help in finding a missing canine officer.

Deputy Rick Torchick says his K-9 partner Ilka was playing at their home on Jackson Road, just outside of Laurelville, when she spotted a deer and started chasing it.

The dog ran off after the deer and has not been seen since. She was wearing a choker chain collar. Anyone who sights the dog is should call police.
