Census Data Ranks Columbus Ahead Of San Francisco

New data from the U.S. Census Bureau says the population of Columbus now ranks ahead of the city of San Francisco.

Population estimates released yesterday show Columbus has almost 9,000 more residents within the city borders, but the metropolitan area of San Francisco remains twice as large.

The Census Bureau says Columbus now has just under 900,000 people which keeps it as the 14th largest city in the country, and only about two-thousand people less than Fort Worth, Texas at number 13.

Other Ohio cities showing growth included Dayton, Akron, and Cincinnati...while Cleveland, Toledo, and Canton saw significant declines in population.
