(24/7 News) -- More than 50 dogs are being prepared for adoption after being rescued from a Pike County home.

Sheriff's deputies say the dogs were found Monday inside a home with the body of their owner. There have been no reports of foul play in the death of the resident.

The animals were dirty with matted fur and some injuries, but are expected to make full recoveries.
