A week-long closure of a section of U.S. 42 in Madison County is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 24th.
-
According to a release from the Ohio Department of Transportation, U.S. 42 will be closed just south of State Route 29 for pavement repair and widening of the road’s shoulders at 7:00 a.m. that Monday.
-
Traffic along that area of State Route 29 will be maintained, but reduced to one lane of two-way traffic with the use of flaggers. Drivers on State Route 29 will be able to access U.S. 42 north, but will not be able to access U.S. 42 south.
-
The established detour is U.S. 42 southbound to State Route 29 eastbound to Interstate 70 westbound to U.S. 42, or reverse.
-
The project is expected to wrap up by 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1st.
