Authorities in Fayette County are detailing the local traffic control for Wednesday’s Fire in the Sky in Washington CH.

The Washington CH Police Department and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office will be providing traffic control with both agencies working closely together to make sure spectators leaving the show can do so in the safest manner possible. They say a few road closures will be in effect on Wednesday evening.

- Draper Street, Oakland Avenue and Fairview Avenue will closed between Leesburg Avenue and Clinton Avenue.
- Leesburg Avenue will be closed between its east and westbound access roads.
- Traffic departing Home Depot will only be able to travel southbound on Leesburg Avenue, or onto U.S. 35 eastbound.
- Traffic departing Wal-Mart at the traffic light will only be able to travel onto U.S. 35 westbound.
- Traffic departing Wal-Mart near the Starting Grate will only be permitted to make a right turn.
- Spectators parking in the grassy area on U.S. 35 eastbound between Leesburg Avenue and the U.S. 35 east on-ramp will have to enter onto U.S. 35 east when departing. Traffic between the on-ramp and U.S. 22 will only be permitted to make a right turn onto U.S. 22.
- Spectators that park in the grassy area on U.S. 35 westbound between Leesburg Avenue and the U.S. 35 east on-ramp will have to enter onto U.S. 35 westbound when departing. Traffic between the on-ramp and U.S. 22 will only be permitted to make a right turn onto U.S. 22.
