Investigators with the State Fire Marshal’s Office are seeking tips from the public to help catch the person or persons responsible for an arson fire in Bainbridge.

In a release on Tuesday, the Division of State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau said the fire was intentionally set to a home located at 316 West Main Street in Bainbridge sometime around 11:20 p.m. on Monday, July 15th.

Fortunately no injuries were reported because the house was vacant at the time.

The investigation is a joint effort by the State Fire Marshal’s Office, the Ross County Sheriff’s Office and the Bainbridge Fire Department.

The Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction.
