(24/7 News) -- A Chillicothe woman is dead after being hit by a falling branch at Hocking Hills State Park Monday.

Park officials say 44-year-old Victoria Schafer of Chillicothe was on the stairs near Old Man's Cave when the tree branch fell on her causing fatal injuries. Schafer is known to many in Chillicothe as the owner/operator of Schafer Photography.

Investigators with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources say it appears that the branch was dislodged from a cliff above. They are seeking individuals that may have been at the top prior to the incident.

This is the third death at the state park this summer. A man went off-trail and fell from a cliff in August. 55-year-old Dana Busson's body was recently found at Conkles Hollow in a separate incident.
