A repair project along Chillicothe’s East Main Street is scheduled to begin next week.
Chillicothe Mayor Luke Feeney, along with the Chillicothe Engineering Department announced on Monday, September 30th, that resurfacing will take place beginning Sunday, October 6th along the section of East Main Street extending from US 35 to Bridge Street.
The work will commence at 6:30 a.m. and should wrap up around 8:00 p.m. Crews will be working from ramps at US 35, westward to Renick Avenue, and will require lane closures in that affected section of East Main.
On Monday, crews will then begin working from Renick Avenue to Bridge Street. This work will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., each day.
Parking restrictions will also be in place throughout that stretch of East Main and residents are advised that the restrictions will be aggressively enforced. Businesses in the area will maintain their regular business hours, but access to those businesses may be limited at times.
The work is expected to take place all next week. Motorists are advised to plan an alternate route of travel if necessary.
