Ross County Auditor Tom Spetnagel Jr. is kicking off the office’s annual #1 Dog in Ross County essay contest.
Now in its 7th year, the contest is open to all fourth grade students throughout Ross County. Students just need to compose an essay on why their family dog is the number one dog in Ross County.
The contest is the office’s way of raising awareness of county dog licensing requirements and recognizing the talent its youth. The rules are only one entry per student and the student’s family must own the dog. The essay also needs to include the student’s name, school and teacher.
Entries should be submitted to the Ross County Auditor’s Office at 2 N. Paint Street, suite G, in Chillicothe by Friday, November 22nd.
