Recent Drug Sweep Could Lead to Major Prison Time for Many Arrested

Area law enforcement teamed up with the Ohio Attorney General in a drug sweep that led to numerous arrests last week. Most of these were drug related.

Ross County Sheriff George Lavender says the illegal business of drug trafficking is big business, and some of that illegal business will be off the streets for a few years with approximately 60 drug traffickers being hit with 163 charges in Ross, Fayette and Pickaway counties.

Lavender says many of the major felony charges filed will keep some of these people in prison for some time.
