The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is putting out a renewed call for information on the whereabouts of an Oak Hill man, missing since July of 2019.
Benjamin ‘Michael’ Saylor, 30, disappeared in late July, last speaking with family members on July 26th. He was reported missing three days later. In a social media post on Tuesday, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office wrote that it had been following numerous tips and leads in the case, but none so far have helped detectives locate Mr. Saylor.
Mr. Saylor’s family is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to his physical location. That’s up from the $10,000 offered in August.
"Michael has to be found to get the reward," said Sheriff Tedd Frazier. "Area law agencies have spent countless hours following leads, just to come up with dead ends. We've searched his last known location, and the locations of his known friends and acquaintances. We need the individual that knows where Michael is, to come forward to give this family the peace they deserve.”
Benjamin 'Michael' Saylor, 30, is described as a white male, standing 5’9”, weighing around 180 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. His right arm features a tattoo of a logging truck with a tattoo of a fishhook on the top of his hand.
