Ross 2-1-1 Service Relaunched by United Way

.

United Way of Ross County has relaunched Ross County's 2-1-1 Helpline.

.

"People across our county now have unprecedented access to the free information and referral helpline," said Rick W. Smith Sr., president, and CEO, United Way of Ross County. Smith adds, "We are very pleased to be able to reintroduce this important service to our community, which now utilizes better technology and provides access to more than 200 support agencies."

.

2-1-1 is a free, confidential helpline that offers a central access point to health and human service providers in Ross County. Everyday thousands of people across North America turn to 2-1-1 for information and support-whether financial, domestic, health, food, or disaster-related. 2-1-1 is a free, confidential referral and information helpline and website that connects people of all ages to the essential health and human services they need, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

.

2-1-1 can be accessed by phone or computer. A toll-free call to 2-1-1 connects anyone in Ross County to a community resource specialist who can put the caller in touch with local organizations that provide critical services that can improve-and save-lives.

.

"As we continue to determine the best way to help area residents who struggle with the necessities of life, like food, shelter, and clothing to other critical needs like how to pay their bills, and relief from domestic violence situations, 2-1-1 is a vital resource for our organization and the people and communities we serve," said Smith.
