SCIOTO VALLEY CANCELLATIONS AND CLOSINGS FOR THE WEEKEND OF MARCH 15th
CHURCHES
Chillicothe First Wesleyan Church will not be having "public services" at either Chillicothe or Frankfort campuses, but will have a live on-line worship service through their church Facebook and website pages at 10am Sunday, March 15th. The podcast of the live service will also be available on their Facebook page.
Chillicothe First United Methodist Church cancelled services
Frankfort & Austin UM Churches will have regular services on Sunday. But if you are not well, we encourage you to stay home until the Coronavires is no longer a threat.
Orchard Hill United Church of Christ will not be offering children’s church or nursery care on Sunday, March 15th. Sunday, March 15th worship is on as scheduled but Sunday worship services scheduled for March 22 and March 29 have been cancelled. Children who attend worship will be asked to worship with their parents in the main sanctuary service.
Community United Methodist Church in Hallsville has cancelled its Sunday Service for March 15th, and March 22nd.
Church Triumphant and Grace Fellowship have cancelled their Sunday Services for March 15th.
The bishops of Ohio are granting a dispensation to all Catholics in Ohio for the next three Sundays: March 15th, March 22nd, and March 29th. The local mass schedule in Chillicothe remains the same . Anyone who has signs of illness or is vulnerable due to age or health status is urged to stay at home.
The Richmond Dale Church of God will only have a morning service at 11. No Sunday school or Sunday evening service.
The Frankfort Presbyterian Church has cancelled their Sunday services for March 15th.
The Concord Presbyterian Church will be closed March 15th.
AGENCIES & ORGANIZATIONS
Chillicothe Civic Theatre has cancelled their final show of “You Can’t Take It With You” Sunday afternoon due to public health concerns from Coronavirus. CTC in the process of determining how to refund advance ticket sales.
The Ross County Committee for Elderly (Ross Senior Center) says all Congregate Meal Sites will be closed for the noon meal until further notice. All of it public gatherings have also been cancelled. It will still provide Home Delivered Meals, Home Care/Personal Care and Transportation Services.
Effective Monday March 16th, the Pike County Senior Center will be suspending congregate meals (dining room lunches) and all activities through March 27th. The Center will reevaluate services as it receives additional information.
Shawnee Lanes has also cancelled its Special Needs League that was scheduled for March 15th.
American Legion Post 757 Bingo for March 15th and March 17th is cancelled.
