Vietnam era Navy veterans are being asked to check to see if they are eligible for the "Blue Water Navy Act of 2019", which applies to personnel who might have been impacted by Agent Orange, even though they didn't set foot on Vietnamese soil.
Stacey Boroff, Veterans Service Officer and Assistant Director at the Ross County Veterans Service Office, says Navy personnel that came within 12 nautical miles of the Vietnamese coast might qualify.
She says a local veteran recently was notified of compensation that he will receive that is in the "six figure range" for back pay under the "Blue Water Navy Act".

These funds are available nationwide for any U.S. Navy Veteran who meets the qualifications mentioned earlier.
