(24/7 News) -- Ohio's Coronavirus-case counts now sits at 11,292 following Saturday's record-setting single-day jump of one-thousand-115 new cases.
This according to state health officials, who say that increase outpaced the previous single-day record of 693 set on Friday. Marion County reportedly accounted for roughly half of Saturday's increase, with 555 new cases. Many of these were from Marion Correctional Institute. Marion Correctional now has over 1,800 inmates and 109 staff members that have tested positive.
The state's Coronavirus-related death count went up yesterday by 33, for a new total of 453.
As of Sunday afternoon, Pickaway County 477 with 4 deaths, Fayette County 13 cases and no deaths, Highland County 7 cases and no deaths, Jackson County 5 cases and no deaths, Hocking County 4 cases and no deaths, Pike County 1 case and no deaths and Vinton County has had no cases thus far.
The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) is reporting 36 positive cases in Ross County as of 2:00 pm 4-19-2020. The Ross Health District stared this is incorrect. Ross currently has 29 confirmed cases. The 7 additional cases being reported by ODH are individuals outside of Ross County. More information to follow.
