The Highland County General Health District has announced the Highland County's first death related to COVID-19. The Health District issued the following release on Monday, May 4th:
It is with sadness that Highland County reports its first COVID-19 Coronavirus death.
The deceased individual was a male in his 80’s, and passed away at the hospital.
As we have watched this pandemic stretch across the globe, we knew that Highland County would also have to face this day. Please say a quiet prayer for the friends and family of the deceased. Please respect their privacy as they mourn the loss of a loved one.
