Chillicothe firefighters were called to the Mount Logan School building on the east side, at about noon Wednesday.
Firefighters found part of the roof on fire, which they were able to quickly get under control after several emergency vehicles were called to the scene.
Roofers were working on the building at the time fire broke out, but the cause of the blaze has not been relayed to media at this time.
No injuries were reported.
The building no longer houses students, but serves as a community clinic operated by Hopewell Health, with some services offered by Adena Health.
