The Ross County Sheriff's Office reports that a female inmate died at the jail, Wednesday night.
Deputies responded and being alerted to the unresponsive inmate at 11pm, where they attempted to revive the inmate. The Chillicothe Fire Department responded and took over those efforts.
28-year-old Chenelle Tyler was pronounced dead by fire department personnel at the jail. She was serving a 35-day sentence for possession of drug abuse instruments out of Chillicothe Municipal Court.
The investigation was turned over to the Detective's Division and Ross County Coroners Office. At this time no foul play is suspected.
