Still adhering to COVID-19 precautions, Circleville City Council met Tuesday night a the shelter in Mary Crites Hannan Park, east of the city.
The agenda was light with just two first ordinance readings. One, an apartment zoning issue, the other an assessment for cutting weeds and the abatement of nuisances on certain city lots. Both were passed.
Of note however, at an earlier rezoning meeting, council heard from a representative of Englefield Oil, who is doing business as Duke and Dutchess on East Main Street. The company would like to raze the current operation and expand on same site.
Opposition to this was heard as well. Council has tabled this until August 18th for further discussion or a possible vote.
