Agents from the Ohio Investigative Unit cited more than a dozen establishments over the weekend after receiving complaints of blatant violations of health orders put in place to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus.
Among them on August 21st, was the Trackside Bar in the Pickaway County village of Ashville, with Wagner's Roadhouse in Chillicothe being cited the following night.
Trackside Bar received an administrative citation for limitation on hours for on-premises consumption. OIU agents and Ashville Police Department visited the establishment at approximately 11:45pm.
Agents observed 20 patrons inside the bar drinking beer and mixed drinks. Agents and officers attempted to gain access but were denied for several minutes. A staff member was observed grabbing all the partial drinks and throwing them in the trash.
An additional violation notice was issued for hindering inspection.

Agents also cited Wagner’s Roadhouse Bar in Chillicothe, received an administrative citation for violations of improper conduct - disorderly activities and insanitary conditions.
Agents visited the establishment at approximately 10pm and immediately observed a group of several patrons crowded around the main bar, not social distancing, with many standing while consuming alcoholic beverages. On the outdoor patio, agents observed live music with patrons standing while consuming alcoholic beverages and dancing.
Agents observed signage posted around the establishment promoting social distancing guidelines, mask usage and floor markers, but none were being followed or enforced by employees.
Agents conducted an administrative inspection and found an additional violation of insanitary conditions.
