Tuesday New COVID Cases in Ohio Under 1,000 For 4th Straight Day

State Health officials are reporting under 700 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Officials say they found 685 new cases of coronavirus yesterday, which is over 150 fewer than reported on Monday and marks four straight days of less than one-thousand new positives. The total number of coronavirus deaths increased by 12, and doctors confirmed 70 new hospitalizations, with eleven being admitted to the ICU. Over 145-thousand Ohioans have contracted the virus since March, with the overall death total just above 46-hundred.

There have only been four new cases of COVID-19 recorded since Sunday in Ross County. The Ross County Health District on Tuesday announced a total of 860 cases of the virus to have been recorded in the County since the start of the pandemic. There were a total of 856 cases reported by the District on Sunday. The state’s department of health says 746 of Ross County’s COVID-positive patients are now presumed recovered. The District this week also recorded the County’s 23rd COVID-related death.
