(24/7 News Source) -- Ohio is once again breaking its record for the number of new COVID-19 cases, this time with more than seven-thousand infections reported in the last 24-hours.
In Thursday's (11/12//20) report, thirty-five new fatalities leave the coronavirus death toll around five-thousand-600. There have been more than 274-thousand-400 confirmed and probable cases of the virus since the pandemic began.
Some governors are beginning to suggest lockdowns may be returning as the number of COVID-19 cases continue to rise, threatening the nation's health care system. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine warned his state may have to lock down again if the numbers didn't improve.
As can be seen in the latest COVID-19 Ohio map above, more the three-quarters of the state is now at Red Level 3 Public Emergency status.
The U.S. reported more than 144-thousand new infections yesterday, the eighth straight day that number has exceeding 100-thousand. The pandemic has now claimed nearly 242-thousand American lives.
