(24/7 News Source) -- Officials say they have linked a man convicted of murder in 2000 in Newark to a cold case homicide in Florida.
The Newark Police Department say DNA has linked Roland Davis to a 1990 murder in Charlotte County, Florida. Investigators in Ohio and Florida are now working together to examine the new evidence, which points to Davis as the main suspect in the death of 42-year-old Sharon Gill.
Davis is currently incarcerated at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution for the murder of 86-year-old Elizabeth Sheeler inside her Newark home.
