Ohio Minimum Wage To Climb A Dime Per Hour

(24/7 News Source) -- Ohio's minimum wage is about to rise again, with the rate going up for nontipped employees by 10 cents an hour from $8.70 to $8.80.

Workers who receive tips will get a wage increase from $4.35 an hour to $4.40.

That increases is slated to begin on Jan. 1, 2021.

An overtime policy remains in place, requiring employers to pay employees for overtime at a rate of 1 1/2 times the employee’s hourly wage for hours in excess of 40 hours in one work week, except for employers making less than $150,000 per year.

The current federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour
