Chillicothe Police are investigating a fatal shooting.
The shooting is reported to have occurred Monday morning at a residence located at 160 Maderia Avenue.
According to a news release, the department was notified of a victim in Pike County that was suffering from a gunshot wound at 9:18 a.m. Monday.
The unidentified victim later died at Adena Pike Medical Center.
The investigation is ongoing by Chillicothe Police Detectives with assistance from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
