OhioHealth has announced plans to open a new medical office building in Chillicothe and bring additional health care services to the Ross County community.
The faith-based, not-for-profit health system based in Columbus, plans to open a 15,000 square foot medical office building in the former OfficeMax on North Bridge Street in the retail heart of Chillicothe. The new OhioHealth location will provide multiple primary care physicians and providers to meet the needs of Ross County families. It will also provide full-time heart and vascular and neurology physician services. These physician services will be augmented by onsite imaging and lab capabilities. As with all OhioHealth services, patients will be able to connect in person or, where appropriate, through telehealth services.
The new medical office is scheduled to open December 2021 and will bring 25 new jobs to Ross County.

OhioHealth's decision to add new services in Chillicothe is based on the need and demand for services in the community. Access to healthcare was identified as the number one priority for Ross County residents in the county's 2019 Community Health Needs Assessment.
