Chillicothe's Adena Regional Medical Center recently was awarded the highest hospital rating - five stars - in a rating given out by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Adena is among just 35 of Ohio’s 134 rated hospitals to receive a five-star rating. CMS looks at more than 50 measures that fall into five quality categories: mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience and timely and effective care. A hospital’s overall rating is calculated using only those measures for which data is available.
ARMC has also been ranked among the nation's top care giving facilities. Adena CEO Jeff Graham says that ranking does not come without the efforts of the staff and employees who provide that care.
Perhaps no area of daily life within the last year has been taxed more than caregivers, hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Hospitals such as Chillicothe's Adena Regional Medical Center have done extraordinary work dealing with COVID-19, says Adena CEO Jeff Graham.
Only 13.5% or 455 hospitals received five stars, and ARMC is among just 35 of Ohio’s 134 rated hospitals to receive a five-star rating.
