Chillicothe Mayor Luke Feeney is asking City Council to rename an alley after the longtime director of the Carver Community Center. Marjorie McIntrye served as the first director of the center, a post she held from 1946 to 1981. McIntyre was also active in many local public and welfare organizations. Mayor Feeney's request would have the alley, which runs from Fourth Street north to Main Street near the center, named for McIntrye. He's asking that city council take up his request at their next session.
