Fairfield County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery of human remains at the scene of a house fire early Thursday morning. According to reports, crews responded to a call just after 1 a.m. at a home on Lancaster-Circleville Road. Fire officials say three of four people living at the residence escaped the blaze and were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Police say firefighters found the remains just after 7:30 a.m., and they are working to see if they belong to the missing fourth resident.
