In lieu of "Bowling for Kid's Sake" this year, Big Brothers / Big Sisters of South Central Ohio had a "Community Fun Day" in Yoctangee Park Saturday. The mentoring organization's new president, Erin Alsop, spoke to two of the members.
Eli is one of the "Littles," He said hanging out with his "Big" is fun, especially with his kids. He likes having fun away from his siblings.
Eli's mentor, Bill, is one of the "Bigs." He said Eli is a good influence to his own children.
They both agreed with Erin Alsop that after four years, this is a Big training a Little to be a future Big.
The "Paw Patrol" also visited, and board member Mayor Luke Feeney grilled free food.
