There were some tense moments at a Ross County apartment Tuesday evening when an armed man engaged in a standoff with local law enforcement. Around 10:30 last night, authorities were called to Northcreek Apartments on Clinton Road on the report of man, armed with a gun, fighting with and threatening people. The suspect, Dominique McQueary, 30, fled back into his apartment after authorities arrived, and held them at bay until surrendering around 1:00 this morning. Ross County Sheriffs Deputies and Chillicothe SWAT surrounded the apartment, and evacuated nearby residences during the standoff. McQueary was taken to jail on charges of domestic violence, obstructing justice, aggravated menacing, and multiple warrants.
