The 445th Airlift Wing based at Wright Patterson is on standby to respond to the growing crisis in the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. The 445th Airlift Wing is an elite force that provides strategic personnel and equipment to aid in aeromedical evacuation using the C-17 Globemaster aircraft. Catholic Social Services of Miami Valley is also preparing to support any potential Afghan refugees brought to Wright-Patterson from the conflict.
