Chillicothe police Tuesday afternoon responded to a injury crash on North Bridge Street. Upon arrival, the driver of one of the vehicles involved, Kirby Smith, fled the scene. Smith ran away on foot into the nearby Harbor Freight, and then into Dunham's. Police caught up with Smith in Dunham's and took him into custody. Smith was cited for OVI, reckless operation, and fleeing the scene of an injury accident. He was later transported to the Adena Regional Medical Center to be treated.
