It's already being tested on the East Coast, and if it's a success, you may soon be able to cash checks at your local post office branch. The United States Postal Service is currently allowing the cashing of checks, of 500 dollars or less, at four east coast locations. If the plan works, the postal service says they will expand the testing to other areas next year.
