A Columbus man is in custody after forcing another man to sign over the title of his vehicle at the Washington Court House BMV Tuesday. 29-year-old James Ragland went to the BMV with the unidentified man, and forced him to sign over the title. Someone reported the incident to the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, who later found the vehicle at a residence in the 6000 block of White Oak Road. When Ragland saw Deputies arrive on the scene, he tried to flee through a window in the back of the home, but was apprehended. Ragland was allegedly holding the the person he forced to sign the title over to him against their will in the house. Ragland is currently in the Fayette County Jail, charged with abduction and aggravated robbery.
