Residents in the Fayette County area will be treated to a special holiday concert in mid-December.
The Washington CH Encore Foundation will host Grammy & Dove Award-winning artist Guy Penrod for a special holiday concert titled “A Court House Country Christmas” on Friday, December 17th at the Washington High School Auditorium.
Penrod is a former member of the Gaither Vocal Group. He spent 14 years as the group’s lead singer before launching a solo career. He’s known for his vocal stylings in the genres of Country and Gospel. Penrod as appeared on The Grand Ole Opry and has also performed on numerous Country recordings alongside artists such as Garth Brooks, Shania Twain and Amy Grant. He was inducted into the Texas Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2011 and later into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2014, alongside the Gaither Vocal Band.
A Court House Country Christmas with Guy Penrod will feature classic holiday hits as well as some of Penrod’s signature tunes.
