A special adoption event, "Home Fur the Holidays" is Saturday, December 18 from 8 am to 1 pm at the Fayette Regional Humane Society's downtown animal care and adoption center.
Adoption fees will be reduced to only $50 for kittens and $20 for cats. All cats and kittens have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, wormed, FeLV/FIV tested, rabies vaccinated (if age appropriate), on a monthly flea preventative, and micro-chipped.
They also have their annual "Giving Tree" up and decorated where visitors may place gifts of animal care supplies under it wrapped or unwrapped. Some of the items on our wishlist include scoopable cat litter, canned pate' cat food, dry Purina cat and kitten chow, dry Purina dog and puppy chow, canned dog food, cat toys, dog toys, towels, puppy pads, paper towels, hand sanitizer, laundry detergent, bleach, pine Sol, trash bags, Lysol spray, and Clorox wipes.
Right now they have 30 cats and kittens available for adoption at their downtown animal care and adoption center and 18 at their off-site adoption partners.
They encourage everyone to stop by this Saturday and give an animal the best gift of all for the holidays, a family who will provide them with a lifetime commitment of love and care.
The Fayette Regional Humane Society's 2022 Calendar of Pets and Paws Cause discount cards are now available at the humane society, and will soon also be at Center Pizza and Craig's Shoes and Sports. The Paws Cause discount cards are only $5 and Calendars are $10.
Their humane agents investigate concerns relating to inhumane treatment of animals in Fayette and Ross Counties.
