A truck driver from Chillicothe was killed Tuesday morning as the result of a single-vehicle crash in southeastern Ross County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash took place shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Higby Road, in the area of Sandy Road.
The Patrol reports that 32-year-old Dakota McCray, of Chillicothe, was traveling southwest on Higby Road when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, and then traveled off the left side of the roadway where the 1988 GMC dump truck he was driving overturned after colliding with a tree trunk, two decorative boulders and a fence.
McCray was partially ejected from the truck during the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
