The All-League Team for girls SVC basketball sees two area coaches named Coach of the Year. Adena’s Andrew Day and Huntington’s Kyle Uhrig share the honor this year after leading their respective teams to successful seasons. Adena claimed the SVC championship with Paint Valley as the Reserve SVC Champions. The Unioto Shermans are the Junior High SVC Champions.
Huntington’s Allison Basye is again named as the SVC girls Player of the Year. Basye also took the honor for the 2020-2021 season.
Basye also earns First Team honors this year along with Unioto’s Avery Miller, Adena’s Emma Garrison, Paint Valley’s Olivia Smith and Piketon’s Jazzlyn Lamerson.
Second Team honors are awarded to Adena’s Jadyn Smith, Paint Valley’s Hanna Uhrig, Westfall’s Gabby Patete, Unioto’s Amaris Betts and Southeastern’s Gabby Pernell.
Third Team honors this year go to Paint Valley’s Abbie Stanforth, Unioto’s Amelia Uhrig, Adena’s Makaela Lovely, Zane Trace’s Emily Allen and Southeastern’s Alexis Bailes.
