U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown visited Chillicothe Wednesday. Brown joined current employees of the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center for a closed door roundtable at Ross County American Legion Post 62 to discuss their concerns and his efforts to keep the facility open. Following a Department of Veterans Affairs’ recommendation last month to close the VA, Brown met with and raised his concerns to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs Denis McDonough that the closure places a hardship on thousands of Ohio veterans. Brown was joined at the roundtable by a dozen invited veterans who currently receive care at the Chillicothe VA.
